Salisbury Cathedral Library and Archive
Salisbury Cathedral has a significant historic library which includes many manuscripts, some of which were written in the early years of the Cathedral at Old Sarum and which have been continuously part of the Cathedral ever since. It has subsequently received significant historical bequests over the centuries, including from the libraries of Bishops Edmund Guest and Seth Ward, and Canon Isaac Walton.
The Cathedral’s Archive is a collection of historic records of the decisions and transactions of the Cathedral and contains many medieval and late documents.
