How Can I Help

Thank you for thinking of supporting Salisbury Cathedral. It costs £14,000 per day to run our glorious medieval cathedral. We receive no financial support from the government or the Church of England. Our work to conserve the fabric of the building; to provide music which is both outstanding and moving; and to make real the glory and presence of God in the world for more than 250,000 visitors every year, is funded by you, our donors.

We need donations for all aspects of our work, and would be delighted to give you more information or to answer any questions you might have. You can follow the links in this section to find out more about our current priorities and about how you can make a donation. However you decide to support us – thank you and God Bless You.

Ways to donate

There are many ways you can donate including by cash, cheque, Charities Aid Foundation(CAF) Account or credit card. We can also set up standing orders or accept gifts of shares, and we are always very grateful for legacies.

Please make cheques payable to Salisbury Cathedral, and send to The Development Department, The Chapter Office, 6 The Close, Salisbury SP1 2EF. If you would like to make a donation by credit card, or have any questions, please call Miss Katie Burfitt on 01722 555107 or email development@salcath.co.uk

However you decide to give, please consider Gift Aiding your donation which will allow us to reclaim a further 25% from the Inland Revenue – at no cost to you! You can download a Gift Aid form here, or tell us over the phone or by email that you want your donation to be Gift Aided.

We regret that we are currently unable to accept online donations at the moment although we expect this to change soon.

Please contact the Development Team on 01722 555107 or email development@salcath.co.uk if you have any questions or for copies of our legacy leaflet, the Major Repair Programme Case for Support, or any other literature.
