Jill Searle Yesterday, 27th September 2008, I came back to Salisbury with my husband David, and some of our family, to reaffirm our marriage vows at St. John's Church Bemerton on the occasion of our 50th Wedding Anniversary. My best friend Ann was also with us (we 'girls' were both born and lived in Salisbury for many years). This morning we all visited the Cathedral on its' 750th Anniversary day, and were able to view the new Font - what a beautiful creation - congratulations to all those involved in its' production. We were also treated to more singing from the excellent choir. We left the Close with feelings of peace and calm. What a perfect finish to a very special weekend.

Beverley Just to say a huge thank you to our guide Tim who spent 2 hours with us today. He gave us an amazing insight into all aspects of the cathedral and the history that surrounds it. Thanks Mike and Beverley

Mary Wolfe My husband and I were fortunate to visit the cathedral in April 2008. We were stunned with the beauty and history found there. It was such an amazing experience for us both.

J Evans I visited Salisbury Cathedral in 1997 and revisited the memory as I read The Pillars of the Earth, Follett. I am excited that this beatuiful cathedral has been a part of my experience when I was overseas.

Mary Jo Thompson I sang there on July 18 with the choir from Virginia. It was one of the most moving experiences of my life, and unforgettable for all of us. Thank you for your lovely hospitality.

Debbie Barrand I visited Salisbury over the weekend of 5-6 July 2008 and thoroughly enjoyed the concert of the music of Vaughan Williams that was held in the cathedral on Saturday night. I spent much of Sunday exploring the cathedal which is a beautiful building, I found it quite overwhelming, and I also enjoyed climbing the tower.

Anthony Trouern-Trend I grew up in Salisbury and attended Bishop Wordsworth's School. I emigrated to the US in 1967 and have returned to Salisbury many times, but never have I been as thrilled as I was on June 11, 2008, when we returned and saw the magnificent renovations that have been completed both within and without this magnificent Cathedral. All those repsonsible are truly guardians of English heritage. A huge "thank you" to all.

Linda Bowman Reading "Sarum," fiction of course, but your photo gallery brings the book to life for me. Hope to see the cathedral, close, and city in the next few years,

Hilary Ducker I've just moved to Salisbury. My very 1st weekend here was Open Day and I attended Evensong. The organ music and the lovely choir lifted me up(moving to a completely new place is rather stressful)and I cycled home humming ! Thank you.

Brian Hartnett My wife Kathy and I have come from Connecticut in the States and visited your beautiful Cathedral on two separate occasions. If we could we'd live in that lovely part of England, within sight of that beautiful spire, and be part of your religious community. Standing on the hill of old Sarum site and seeing the tower of the "new' 750 year old structure gives one an incredible sense of the continuity of faith. What a mission you have. Thank you for being such a living church.
